Namdapha National Park is one of the last remaining of the few large evergreen forests in the world, situated in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Spread over 1850sq. km of rugged terrain between an altitude of 200 to 4500 mtrs, it spans tropical to alpine virgin vegetation lending a home to a vast variety of flora and fauna.

It is the only National Park in the world where the four big cats-tiger; leopard, snow leopard and clouded leopard are found. There are nearly 450 species of birds in Namdapha National Park. Great Hornbill, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Rufous-necked Hornbill, Grey Peacock pheasant, Redheaded Trogon, Beautiful Nuthatch, Snowy-throated Babbler, Forest Eagle Owl are some of them. Sighting of the Hoolock Gibbon (a rare species) is also a possibility.

The Fauna : Namdapha National Park is home to diverse species of animals and birds. It is one park in the World to have the four Feline species of big cat namely the Tiger, Clouded Leopard and Leopard Snow Leopard (Panthera Uncia) and numbers of Lesser cats. Several primate species are also seen in the park, such as Assamese Macaque, pig-tailed Macaque, stump-tailed Macaque and number of the distict Hoolock Gibbons. Highly endangered and only 'Ape' species found in India also dwells in this dense virgin forest. Some other important animals are the Elephants, Black Bear, Indian Bison, several species of Deers, reptiles and a variety of arboreal animals.

The Flora : Namdapha National Park is a botanist's Paradise by its affluent bio diversity of flora and fauna. There are more than 150 timber species available at Namdapha. The Pinus Merkusi and Abies Delavavi are not found elsewhere in India. The Blue Vanda, one of the rarest and endangered orchids is also found here. The most famous local medicinal plant Mishimi Teeta, which is used by the local tribal for all kinds of diseases, the export of which is banned.
The Birds: Some avian fauna (bird) species found in Namdapha National Park are the White winged Wood Ducks, a rare and endangered species, the great Indian Hornbills, Jungle Fowls and Pheasants flop their noisy way through the jungle.

Day 0: Departure from U.K


Day 01: Arrive Dibrugarh - Namdhapa, 200 km / 05 hrs

Upon arrival at Dibrugarh airport meet with our representative and drive to Namdapha National park. Upon arrival check into the forest lodge / camp. Overnight stay in Namdhapa.

Day 02: Namdhapa

After early breakfast cross the Noa Dihing river and trek to Haldibari (5kns/4hrs). Enjoy bird watching all along the route. Overnight stay in Lodge / Camp.

Day 03: Namdhapa

After breakfast birding and return to Lodge / Camp for overnight stay.

Day 04: Namdhapa - Dibrugarh

Early morning drive to Dibrugarh, upon arrival board the flight for onward destination.
